Terms of Service

1. Who we are

This store is operated by FIRSTSTEP Co., Ltd. (trading as WABI-SABI WATCH), 260 Hassujicho, Nishi-ku, Nagoya, Aichi 452-0815, Japan. We are a licensed second-hand goods dealer in Japan. Contact: 2025firststep@gmail.com.

2. Products

All watches are pre-owned, one-of-a-kind items. Each listing describes the individual watch photographed, including its flaws. Signs of wear that are shown in the photos or described in the listing form part of the agreed condition of the goods.

3. Orders and conclusion of contract

Your order is an offer to purchase. A contract is concluded when we send you the order confirmation email. Our watches are also offered on other marketplaces; in the rare case an item was already sold elsewhere at the time of your order, we will cancel the order and refund you in full immediately.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in EUR (or in your local currency where offered) and do not include import VAT, customs duties or clearance fees of the destination country. Payment is due at checkout via the payment methods offered (credit/debit card, Shop Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and others as available).

5. Delivery

We ship worldwide to the countries offered at checkout by DHL Express from Japan, free of charge, typically dispatched within 2 business days and delivered within 3–5 business days. Every shipment is tracked and insured, and the tracking number is emailed to you. Risk passes to you on delivery.

6. Import VAT and customs (DDU)

Shipments are sent from Japan on an unpaid-duty basis. The carrier or customs authority in your country will collect import VAT (approx. 19–23% in the EU) and a small clearance fee before or on delivery. These charges are not included in our prices and are your responsibility. We always declare the true value of the shipment; this keeps the insurance on your watch valid.

7. Right of withdrawal and returns

EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal, and we extend the same 14-day return policy to all customers. See our Return & Refund Policy for full details, the model withdrawal form and the refund procedure.

8. Legal guarantee

The statutory legal guarantee of conformity applies. For pre-owned goods this means the watch must conform to its description; wear and age-related characteristics that are disclosed in the listing are not defects. If a watch is defective on arrival or does not match its description, we will resolve it at our cost as described in the Return & Refund Policy.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes rights that mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence grants you, or our liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body or health. Otherwise our liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. If you are a consumer in the EU, you additionally enjoy the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence, and you may bring proceedings before the courts of that country.
